We invite you to be part of a unique artistic journey. Would you like to share the stage with professional dancers and esteemed artists at this year’s Opening Show? We’re creating a special project titled “REFLECTIONS – 15 Years”, and we’d love for you to join. If you have a dance that aligns with the theme and are open to contributing to the creative process, this is your opportunity to be part of something extraordinary!

How have the past fifteen years shaped your life and your journey in the world of Raqs Sharqi? When you look in the mirror, do you see your past or envision the future? Fifteen years is a long time—both we and the world around us change in countless ways. Along the way, we encounter inspiring souls, experience heartache, joy, love, and growth. Do you ever take a moment to reflect on it all? 

We invite you to pause and reflect on your own journey. And if, in that reflection, you find something meaningful to share, we would love for you to join us in expressing it.

The show will be directed by Mercedes, and we welcome both solo dancers and groups. Your piece should artistically reflect the theme, and, as part of the show’s overall vision, you may be asked to adjust transitions, as well as the beginning and ending, to ensure cohesion with the production.

This opportunity is open to professional dancers who are not competing in the Raqs Art Awards, not performing on the Open Stage.

Participation is free — you simply need to be a part of the festival (with at least two Day Passes), bring dedication, flexibility, and a willingness to collaborate in a group setting, while embracing new artistic experiences.

Performers are requested to be available for live rehearsals in Budapest latest from the morning of 6th of May.
