Lubna Emam is an iconic artist of Raqs Sharki from Cairo, Egypt. She got engaged with the traditional dances of Egypt when she was only nine years old - she trained with the Egyptian Kaomeya Troupe. Her performances are unforgettable, radiating joy and love for art and respect towards her own cultural heritage. She has been traveling all around the world most of her life, first while performing with the Kaomeya Troupe and other Egyptian folkloric groups. An exciting fact: Lubna has also been working with the superstar bellydancer Nagwa Fouad, mentoring her and creating stage performances with a special focus on the blend of traditional and contemporary approaches to bellydance. She continues living in Cairo while sharing her valuable knowledge and inimitable style all over the world on her sold out classes, teaching the true essence of Raqs Sharki.
